A factory worker in Britain is on trial for allegedly trying to contaminate goods in July 2007 by sprinkling peanuts around a food plant that was supposed to be peanut-free. The factory makes products for grocers Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury's.
Production at the factory was stopped when peanuts were found. The accused man is charged with intending to contaminate goods and making a threat, yet he denies both charges.
