The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) is an independent organisation responsible for providing national guidance on the promotion of good health and the prevention and treatment of ill health in the UK. NICE have been asked to develop a clinical practice guideline on Food Allergy in Children for use in the NHS in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
As part of the development process, NICE have recently issued a draft scope defining what aspects of clinical care the guideline will cover and to whom it will apply. Comments relating to the draft scope document are invited before the 08 February 2010 deadline. See www.nice.org.uk/guidance/index.jsp?action=folder&o=46988 for a copy of the draft scope document and instructions on how to provide comments.
The draft guidelines are expected to be available for stakeholder consultation from 9 August - 6 September 2010, with final publication due in January 2011.
