Test kit developed for Lupin

With the increasing prevalence of lupin allergy and regulatory developments to require labelling of lupin in foods, UK company Hallmark Analytical Ventures (HAVen) have released an ELISA test kit capable of detecting lupin in food samples and environmental swabs. The assay, developed in collaboration with the Norwegian Veterinary Institute, has a limit of detection of 1ppm lupin flour.  Details of the kit can be downloaded from the HAVen website.
