Early reports of research at the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University indicate a new process has been discovered that will totally inactivate peanut allergens.

In May 2007, the EU project EUROPREVALL (www.europrevall.org) and the UK Food Standards Agency (UKFSA) facilitated a workshop with the support of ILSI Europe on "Approaches to Risk Assessment in Food Allergy".

The NSW Food Authority and Food Standards Australia New Zealand  will hold a major food safety conference from Wednesday 19 September to Friday 21 September at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre, Darling Harbour, NSW.
