Sainsbury's celebrated Allergy UK's Allergy and Intolerance Week (25th-29th January 2010) with the launch of several new products in their ‘Freefrom’ range. All products are wheat and gluten free and most are also free from dairy. They have also re-designed the ‘Freefrom’ packaging and re-launched its ‘Freefrom’ website to gain greater consumer appeal.
Customers can now print off a monthly updated list of Sainsbury’s own-brand products made without ingredients such as wheat, gluten or milk (including lactose) that are suitable for them to buy in stores. Customers can also access a variety of recipes that allow them to safely cook up their "most missed" meals, which have been developed by the Sainsbury's Team and leading allergy experts.
More information about the products and services Sainsbury’s have tailored for food intolerant consumers can be found on the Sainsbury’s website
