Food allergy in patients with eczema

A retrospective study on patients with eczema has found more than half also suffer from food allergy. Nuts and tomatoes were found to be the foods causing immediate symptoms in the majority of patients.
Demographic factors such as age, gender and duration of eczema did not significantly correlate with number of foods or an allergen-specific IgE of ≥ grade 2.
