Clarification from FSANZ regarding allergen labelling of coconut

The FSANZ gazette notice dated 8th October 2008 contains a revision to Food Standard 1.2.3 Mandatory warning and advisory statements and declarations. The table to clause 4 in this standard has been varied.  Previously, this clause referred to products containing “Tree nuts and sesame seeds and their products”. This clause now refers to “Tree nuts and sesame seeds and their products other than coconut from the fruit of the palm Cocos nucifera”.
