40th AIFST Convention, June 24-27

The forthcoming 2007AIFST convention in Melbourne features an afternoon session on allergen management and labelling.

Kim Leighton, from the AFGC will present the revised industry guidelines, while Fiona Fleming from George Weston Foods will work through the VITAL tool and demonstrate the benefits of using this standardised risk assessment approach to managing allergen cross-contact.  Andreas Lopata from RMIT University will provide a more detailed look at seafood allergy.
