What is a News Feed?

A News Feed (also known as RSS - Really Simple Syndication and Rich Site Summary) automatically sends email alerts of new website content such as news, blog posts and podcasts, to people who have subscribed to receive it.

The Allergen Bureau's website has provided an automatic News Feed since the new website was launched in November 2006.

Why does the Allergen Bureau send a News Feed?

The Allergen Bureau is a food industry initiative and keeping people in the food industry up to date with the latest information on food allergens is a key objective. News and events items are constantly being added to the Allergen Bureau's website and it's important people in the food industry are alerted to them.

The Allergen Bureau News Feed automatically alerts subscribers to the latest news, information and events, relieving them of the need to check the website randomly.
