Support your food industry – join the Allergen Bureau NOW!

The Allergen Bureau, established by the Australian and New Zealand food industry in 2005, is funded entirely by industry and is managed by industry representatives who understand the challenges faced in the management of allergens in a food environment. The Bureau is a 'one stop shop' for information resources, practical tools and industry contacts for the management of food allergens.

The Allergen Bureau monthly eNews reaches over 3,500 individuals globally, with over 50% of these from outside Australia and New Zealand. The Allergen Bureau is continually sought after to present at international forums on the activities of the Allergen Bureau, particularly on VITAL, clearly showing the global interest in and recognition of the Allergen Bureau activities and expertise.

Allergen Bureau Members, including small, medium and large food companies, are recognised as leaders in this field, and share the benefits of an industry approach to improving the management of food allergens.

Allergen Bureau Members include Food Manufacturers, Food Ingredients Suppliers, Consumer Interest groups, and Analytical Testing and Supply companies. See our members.

Current membership of the Allergen Bureau consists of 27 Full members and 12 Associate members. However, we require much greater support from the food industry in order to ensure that the Allergen Bureau can continue to provide timely and accurate responses to allergen issues.

By becoming a member of the Allergen Bureau you are demonstrating your company’s commitment to this area of food safety and actively supporting this important industry initiative.

To ensure participation in this important industry initiative is accessible to the broadest range of Australian and New Zealand food manufacturing and retailing enterprises, we offer a range of Membership options – with Membership investment based on the number of full time employees (FTEs) at your company.
