Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Meeting in February 2011
The first EAACI Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Meeting, FAAM 2011, will be held in Venice, Italy from 17 to 19 February 2011. This meeting is expected to be attended by more than 600 delegates from Europe and around the world, providing a platform for progressing research and understanding in the broad field of food allergy.
The scientific program features presentations and lectures from numerous international experts covering practically all aspects of food allergy that are of interest to food industry representatives, regulators, patient advocacy groups and clinicians. From presentations on the mechanisms of food allergy and what makes an antigen a food allergen, to the management of food allergy in food service outlets, state-of-the-art for allergen detection, probabilistic risk assessment for allergens in food, and labelling issues, it is difficult to identify any relevant topic that has been left off the agenda. An invitation to attend the meeting has been extended to several members of the Allergen Bureau Management Committee.
More information including a detailed scientific program, registration and abstract information can be obtained on the FAAM website.
